National Resume Writers' Association Seeks 2008 Conference Speaker Proposal Submissions

New York, NY (PRWEB) June 13, 2007 -- The National Resume Writers' Association (www.nrwaweb.com), a 400-member, non-profit organization focused on educational opportunities for resume writers and career service professionals, is seeking speaker proposals for their 11th annual conference to be held September 24-27, 2008 in San Diego, California. The organization's conference is attended by more than 100 professionals each year.

NRWA is accepting submissions for presentations in the following areas:

•    Resume Writing Topics
•    Business-Related Topics
•    Technology Trends
•    Job Search / Employment Topics
•    Recruitment Trends

"The NRWA Career Conference is the highlight of the year for our members. Our attendees are focused on learning everything related to running a business, writing more effective resumes and career-related documents, and learning about the latest recruitment, employment, and technology trends," stated Kathy Sweeney, NCRW, CPRW, CEIC, CCM, and president of the National Resume Writers' Association. "We look forward to augmenting the education our members receive with terrific presenters and outstanding topics."

To be considered as a presenter at the 2008 NRWA Conference, NRWA requests that potential speakers fill out the Proposal Submission form online at http://www.nrwaweb.com/resumewriters/ConferenceProposal.asp which details:

•    Topic Title
•    Speaking qualifications and experience
•    A one-page abstract of your presentation
•    An outline of your presentation showing the amount of time you would devote to each topic
•    A description of handouts and audience participation tools
•    Contact information (address, phone, fax, email)
•    The value you believe your presentation will bring to NRWA conference participants

The due date for submissions in June 30, 2007. The submissions will be carefully considered by the conference committee for relevance.

While NRWA does not pay speaker fees, accommodations, meal, or travel expenses, Sweeney states that presenters are compensated in many different ways.

First, speakers will be compensated with free entrance to the 2008 Conference main sessions. All meals during the main conference sessions will be provided. In addition, NRWA offers speakers free attendance at a special Thursday evening social event, entrance to the Wednesday evening reception for further networking opportunities, and admission to the closing banquet ceremonies.

Second, speakers for the 2008 conference will be able to have an exhibitor space to pass out information on their services, or sell books and audio CDs (no sales pitches in the actual seminar session will be allowed).

Third, speakers will be afforded the opportunity to author an article related to their topic for the NRWA newsletter prior to the conference. Further, all speakers will be included in marketing materials promoting the conference, a description of each topic will be featured on the website, and speaker names and topic titles will be included in all press releases.

"The exposure to NRWA members is a terrific opportunity for presenters to showcase their expertise and potentially gain new clients," said Sweeney. "I encourage all speakers to submit their proposals by the deadline of June 30, 2007 to be considered for this outstanding opportunity."
